My grand plan was to get away in time to visit the Centre for Alternative Technology but despite only setting out slightly later than planned we ran out of time. Instead we made a quick stop at Machinations. This is essentially a cafe with a small collection of automatons (for most of which you need to buy one of their 10p tokens), a garden which they've turned into a rabbit village and a play barn (we gave that a miss). Both boys stroked a rabbit and Robin fed one out of his hand.
After that it was a relatively short drive to the campsite, Gwerniago Farm Camping.
